“Under the blazing sun, I saw thirty-five hearts beat as One”
The joy cannot be contained, definitely not by the scorching blazing sun, passing heavy downpour and least it be the tiredness endured for weeks. All had worked extra hard, trained under tremendous pressure, faced school exam pressure and finally, the anxiety to compete with the elite teams from all around the country had come so true to be true.
1st Johor Bahru NGO girls team led by Cpl Ho Sock Hui smartly marched into the drill ground, under close examination by 8 pairs of expert’s eyes. The loud and neat stamping by the team draw back much attention from all curious spectators. The never seen before formation with odd uniform did create some questions among them. Most of them had no idea of what Briged Putera is all about, no wonder we drew plenty of questions by other quarters including one of the judge that came and find out more about us. Some curious KRS members joined the crowd and start murmuring as well as nodding their heads. Not satisfied, they even question if that’s a mix gender team or a pure girls team! Oh goodness, what have we done to our girls!
Given it as first time we joined the NGO drill competition with no experience, we had done pretty entertaining drill nevertheless we show cast our best and there we go, “Kategori Agensi Bukan Kerajaan, bahagian perempuan tempat Ketiga dimenangi oleh Kumpulan Kawat Kaki dari Negeri Johor!”.
